Civic Medal 1st class

The miniature of the Civic Medal, First Class is a reduced-size version of the official award, intended for occasions where a more discreet form is appropriate. This version is made of metal with a gilded finish, faithfully reflecting the official specifications.

The small medal takes the form of a four-armed cross with broad ends and fine engraved detailing. The central medallion bears the monogram “L” (Leopold II) in gilded relief. The miniature is suspended from a plain metal loop and attached to a moiré ribbon in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civic Decorations.
