Civic Medal 1st class

The ribbon bar of the Civic Medal, First Class is a simplified way of wearing the decoration, intended for daily use on a uniform. It replaces the full medal on occasions where a less prominent form is appropriate.

The ribbon bar consists of a horizontal rectangular piece of moiré in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civic Decorations. Attached to the ribbon is a gilded miniature of the Civic Medal, First Class, making the award clearly identifiable.

The ribbon bar is mounted on a metal bar with pins and butterfly clutch (bar not included), ensuring easy and secure fastening to the uniform.
