Civic Medal 1st class

The Civic Medal, First Class, is a Belgian honour awarded in recognition of notable civic merit. The large model is produced in metal with a gilded finish, in full accordance with the official specifications.

The medal consists of a four-armed cross with broad ends, decorated with fine engraved details along the arms. The central medallion bears the monogram “L” (Leopold II) in gilded relief. The medal is suspended from a simple metal loop and attached to a moiré ribbon in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civic Decorations.
