Civic Medal 2nd class

The Civic Medal, Second Class, is a Belgian honour awarded in recognition of notable civic merit. The large model in silvered metal is crafted in accordance with the official specifications and represents the traditional appearance of this grade.

The medal takes the form of a four-armed cross with broad ends, decorated with fine engraved detailing along the arms. The central medallion bears the monogram “L” (Leopold II) in silvered relief. The medal is suspended from a plain metal loop and attached to a moiré ribbon in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civic Decorations.
