Deportees' Honour Cross 1914 - 1918

The lapel ribbon of the Deportees’ Cross of Honour 1914–1918 is a discreet insignia for civilian wear, usually placed on the lapel of a jacket or coat.

It consists of a pleated strip of dark red moiré ribbon with diagonal black, yellow and red stripes, symbolising the Belgian flag. The ribbon is mounted on a metal base that slides through the buttonhole and folds at the back to ensure a firm hold.

The lapel ribbon of the Deportees’ Cross of Honour 1914–1918 provides a sober and dignified way of wearing the award in daily life or at formal occasions.
