Grand Cross Order of Leopold II

The miniature of the Grand Cross of the Order of Leopold II is a refined representation of the highest grade of this Belgian order of knighthood. This insignia is made exclusively of solid fine silver (.999), combining exceptional craftsmanship with the historic symbolism of the order.

The miniature cross is gilt, featuring at its centre a black enamelled medallion with the gilded Belgian lion in relief. The surrounding dark blue enamel ring bears only the national motto in French: “L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE”. The piece is surmounted by a gilt royal crown.

The miniature is suspended from a bright blue silk ribbon with a central black stripe, adorned with a fine rosette with gilt galloon.
