Military Medal 1st class

The reduction of the Military Medal First Class – Dutch-language version is the miniature form of the official Belgian decoration. The obverse shows the Belgian lion, surrounded by the Dutch motto “EENDRACHT MAAKT MACHT”.

The reduction is attached to a 16 mm moiré ribbon in Belgium’s national colours red, yellow, and black. For the First Class, the ribbon is fitted with an inverted metallic chevron, making the grade clearly recognisable.
