Military Cross 1st class

It is intended for representative wear on uniforms or civilian attire, especially on occasions where wearing the full-size medal is less practical.

The miniature consists of a black-enamelled cross with crossed swords, suspended from a royal crown. The central medallion bears the Belgian lion, while the reverse traditionally carries the monogram of King Leopold II. The insignia is attached to a 16 mm moiré ribbon in green with red edges. The First Class is distinguished by the presence of a rosette on the ribbon, executed in the same colours, which sets it apart from the Second Class.

This reduction closely follows the official specifications and combines elegance with convenience. It provides a dignified way to display the distinction without wearing the full-size medal.
