Cross of Honour Military Service Abroad 2nd class

The miniature of the Cross of Honour Military Service Abroad 2nd Class follows the same design as the 1st Class but is distinguished by its ribbon. The cross is entirely gilt, with red enamelled spheres, and in the centre a blue enamelled ring with the motto “Pro Patria” and a gilt Belgian lion. The cross is surmounted by a gilt crown.

The miniature hangs from a narrow moiré ribbon in sky blue with purple edges and a central silver stripe, which marks the 2nd Class. It is worn at ceremonies where the full-size insignia is not appropriate.
