Commemorative Medal for Missions or Operations regarding the Operational Defense of the Territory

The Commemorative Medal for Missions or Operations regarding the Operational Defense of the Territory (miniature) is the reduced version of this official Belgian decoration. It is intended to be worn on occasions where a smaller version of the medal is customary or prescribed.

The miniature consists of a small round bronze medal, attached to a yellow moiré ribbon with a central red stripe and an adjacent black stripe, symbolising the national colours. The design follows that of the large model, showing the Belgian coat of arms with the crowned lion and the inscription “DOMESTIC MISSIONS OR OPERATIONS – BINNENLANDSE OPDRACHTEN OF OPERATIES”.
