Civic Medal 1st class - Fire department

The miniature of the Civic Medal First Class – Fire Brigade (metal version) is a reduced-size version of the official large model. The medal takes the form of a four-armed cross with broad ends and bears at its centre the monogram “L” of King Leopold II in gilded relief.

It is attached by a simple ring suspension and worn from a green moiré ribbon with two white stripes, the traditional ribbon identifying the award for fire brigade services. This miniature is intended to be worn on uniforms at less formal occasions and serves as an elegant counterpart to the large model.
