Medal Mérite Sportif 1939 - silver

The reduced model of the Silver Medal of Sporting Merit is a smaller version struck in silvered bronze. It retains the design of two athletes with bare upper body shaking hands, with the inscription SPORT beneath.

This reduced model is worn on a green moiré ribbon with a central silver stripe. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for occasions requiring a more discreet form of wear, while clearly symbolising the second grade of this rare sporting distinction.
