Medal Mérite Sportif 1939 - gold

The reduced model of the Gold Medal of Sporting Merit is a smaller version struck in gilt bronze. It retains the design of two athletes with bare upper body shaking hands, with the inscription SPORT beneath.

This reduced model is worn on a green moiré ribbon with a central gold stripe. Its compact size makes it especially suitable for occasions requiring a more discreet form of wear. As the gold version, it represents the highest grade among the three distinctions, alongside the silver and bronze variants.
