Civic Cross 1st class

The miniature of the Belgian Civic Cross First Class is a reduced-size version of the official decoration, intended for occasions where a more discreet form is appropriate. This metal version faithfully follows the official specifications and preserves the symbolism of the award.

The insignia consists of a small Maltese cross with white enamelled arms. The central medallion bears the gilded monogram “L” (Leopold II) on a white background. Between the arms of the cross are gilded laurel leaves. The cross is suspended from a gilded ornamental connector linking it to the ribbon.

The decoration is attached to a moiré ribbon in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civic Decorations. The metal miniature combines refinement with wearability and is ideal for daily use at formal occasions.
