Mayor sash Flanders (shoulder model)

The Flemish Mayor’s shoulder sash with silk tassels and municipal coat of arms combines tradition with official recognition. This is a shoulder model, worn diagonally across the shoulder, and not to be confused with the waist model that is worn around the hips.

The silk tassels provide a classic and luxurious finish. This version is standardly fitted with a badge bearing the Flemish lion attached to the sash, complemented by a municipal coat of arms affixed to the sash, which gives the sash a clear official identity and visibly highlights the link with the municipality. This makes the model especially suitable for protocol ceremonies where representativeness and recognition are central.
