Decoration Cooperation 1st class

The Distinction Cooperation 1st Class is an official award granted in recognition of outstanding commitment to cooperative initiatives and collaborative structures. The decoration highlights the importance of collective organization, solidarity, and cooperation, and is bestowed upon members who have demonstrated long-standing and meaningful dedication to strengthening cooperatives and defending common interests.

The distinction features a silver-coloured enamelled cross with blue arms, encircled by a wreath of green enamelled oak and laurel branches accented with red. At its centre is a gilt emblem, surrounded by a red band bearing the inscription “Coopération – Samenwerking”. The decoration is surmounted by a golden royal crown, underlining its official and national recognition.

It is suspended from a moiré ribbon in the Belgian national colours of black, yellow, and red. A tricolour rosette is affixed to the ribbon, marking the grade of 1st Class. The distinction is worn on the left breast, attached by the rectangular ribbon.

This award serves not only as a mark of appreciation but also as a symbol of the enduring value of cooperation and collective solidarity within Belgian society.
