Decoration Agriculture 2nd class

The Distinction Agriculture, 2nd Class is an official award conferred in recognition of long-standing or exceptional achievements in agriculture. The decoration highlights both the value of tradition and the role of innovation, while also emphasizing the societal impact of the agricultural sector in Belgium. This grade is awarded to individuals who have made a valuable contribution to the development and strengthening of rural life.

The distinction takes the form of a silver-coloured enamelled cross with green arms, encircled by a wreath of green enamelled oak and laurel branches accented with red. At its centre is a silver emblem, surrounded by a red band bearing the inscription “Décoration Spéciale Agricole – Bijzonder Landbouwereteken”. The decoration is surmounted by a silver royal crown, underlining its official status.

It is suspended from a moiré ribbon in the Belgian national colours of black, yellow, and red. Unlike the 1st Class, the ribbon bears no rosette. The distinction is worn on the left breast, attached by the rectangular ribbon.
