Decoration Agriculture 1st class

The Distinction Agriculture, 1st Class is an official award granted in recognition of long-standing or exceptional achievements in agriculture. The decoration highlights the importance of tradition, the necessity of innovation, and the societal impact of the agricultural sector in Belgium. It honours individuals who have made a remarkable contribution to the development and strengthening of the agrarian world.

The distinction features a silver-coloured enamelled cross with green arms, encircled by a wreath of green enamelled oak and laurel branches accented with red. At its centre is a gilt emblem, surrounded by a red band bearing the inscription “Décoration Spéciale Agricole – Bijzonder Landbouwereteken”. The decoration is surmounted by a golden royal crown, underlining its official and national recognition.

It is suspended from a moiré ribbon in the Belgian national colours of black, yellow, and red. A tricolour rosette is affixed to the ribbon, marking the grade of 1st Class. The distinction is worn on the left breast, attached by the rectangular ribbon.
