Knight Order of Leopold

This version of the Knight of the Order of Leopold insignia is the large silver model, as worn with full dress uniform. It is the official decoration awarded upon appointment as Knight of the Order of Leopold.

The insignia consists of a white-enameled cross with four arms, featuring at its center on the obverse a gilded Belgian lion, surrounded by the mottos "Eendracht Maakt Macht / L'Union Fait La Force" and a green laurel and oak wreath. The reverse bears the royal monogram "LR". The silver royal crown above the cross connects the insignia to the Order’s distinctive purple moiré ribbon.
