Grand Officer Order of Leopold

This reduced model is a faithful reproduction of the insignia of Grand Officer of the Order of Leopold, crafted in solid fine silver (.999). The insignia consists of a white enamelled Maltese cross with a green enamel border, featuring in the centre a medallion with the Belgian lion and the motto “L’union fait la force” on a red ring. This is explicitly the French-language version of the insignia.

Above the cross is a gilded royal crown. The whole is attached to a purple ribbon, adorned with a bi-coloured bar (gold and silver) and a purple ribbon rosette.

This is a reduced model, i.e. a smaller representative version of the original insignia, fully executed in precious metal..
