Grand Cordon Order of Leopold - ladies version

The ladies’ version of the breast star of the Grand Cordon in the civil division of the Order of Leopold combines tradition with wearing comfort. Specially designed at the request of Queen Paola, a refined version was produced in 2024 at the request of Princess Elisabeth, faithfully following the 19th-century design and crafted in fine silver by the official jeweller P. De Greef.

Unlike the heavier traditional model, this version is smaller and lighter while retaining the historical shape and refined details. This makes the breast star particularly suitable for formal wear with evening dresses and gowns, where it serves as an elegant, handcrafted jewel. The large model comes complete with the Commander’s badge, sash, luxury case, and matching rosette. The diameter of the breast star is 62 mm.
