Silver Medal Order of Leopold II

The Silver Medal Leopold II is an official distinction of this Belgian order of knighthood. This piece is the large model in metal, silvered.

The decoration features a four-lobed cross form with a laurel wreath motif. At its centre is the Belgian lion in relief, surrounded by the national motto “EENDRACHT MAAKT MACHT – L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE” in both national languages.

The medal is suspended from a blue moiré ribbon with a central black stripe, attached by a metal ring and wearable on uniform or civilian dress.
