Officer Order of Leopold II

The grade of Officer of the Order of Leopold II belongs to the intermediate ranks within this Belgian order of knighthood. This version is crafted in high-quality metal, finished with gilding and enamel.

The officer’s cross is a finely executed gilt cross, featuring at its centre a black enamelled medallion with the gilded Belgian lion in relief. The surrounding dark blue enamel ring bears the national motto “EENDRACHT MAAKT MACHT – L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE”. The piece is surmounted by a gilt royal crown.

The insignia is suspended from a blue moiré ribbon with a central black stripe, featuring a rosette, the distinctive mark of the Officer grade.
