Golden Medal Order of Leopold II

The miniature of the Gold Medal of the Order of Leopold II is a small version of this Belgian insignia. This is the French-language version, recognizable by the national motto in French: “L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE”.

This miniature is made of solid fine silver (.999) and differs from the standard gilt metal version by its precious metal base and superior refinement. Finished with enamel and gilding.

The design consists of a four-lobed cross form with a laurel wreath motif and a central medallion featuring the Belgian lion in relief.

The miniature is suspended from a blue moiré ribbon with a central black stripe.
