Medal UNO War Korea

The UN Medal “Korea” (large model) is an international decoration established by the United Nations in 1950. It was awarded to military personnel of UN member states who took part in the Korean War (1950–1954) under UN command.

The medal is a round bronze decoration. On the obverse is the emblem of the United Nations: a world map in azimuthal projection, surrounded by two olive branches symbolising peace. The inscription “UN” appears in relief at the top.

The medal is suspended from a light blue moiré ribbon with nine vertical white stripes, alternating with the blue fields. This design reflects the UN colours and symbolises international cooperation and peace.

The large model is worn on the uniform during official ceremonies, UN commemorations and military events.
