Medal CSDP "Planning & Support"

The CSDP “Planning & Support” Medal is associated with the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). Under this policy, the EU deploys civilian and military missions and operations in support of crisis management, peace support and international security. This medal recognises service performed in connection with such European missions and operations.

The round medal features the twelve stars of the European emblem in relief. This version is intended for planning and support functions and is worn on a blue-white-blue moiré ribbon. The white centre stripe distinguishes this version from the medal intended for operational service, which uses a gold-yellow centre stripe.

The medal measures 35 mm in diameter and is made of silver-plated metal with a patinated finish. The patina enhances the relief of the stars and gives the medal a classic and distinguished appearance.
