Medal of Labour 1st class

This Belgian Labor Decoration First Class (metal version) is an official award recognizing long-term and meritorious dedication in professional life. The decoration is designed as an oval medal, framed by a blue enameled laurel wreath symbolizing honor and merit. At the center is a golden depiction of a traditional work helmet with crossed tools, symbols of craftsmanship and work ethic. Around the central medallion is the inscription ‘HABILETÉ - MORALITÉ’ and ‘BEKWAAMHEID - ZEDELIJKHEID’, which stand respectively for ability, morality, and integrity — core values of the recognized labor achievements.

At the top is a gold-colored royal crown, connecting the medal to the ribbon in the Belgian tricolor (black, yellow, and red) made of fine moiré fabric. The ribbon is finished with a matching rosette in the same colors.
