Officer Legion of Honour (Légion d'Honneur)

The full-size badge of the Officer of the National Order of the Legion of Honour is suspended from a fine red moiré ribbon with the distinctive rosette. The insignia consists of a five-armed white-enamelled cross with gilt edges, set between green enamelled laurel branches. At its centre is the profile of Marianne, encircled by a blue ring bearing the legend République Française.
This full-size badge is entirely crafted in solid sterling silver (.925) and is traditionally worn on the left breast, representing the dignity and prestige of the second rank of the order.
