Medal Belgian Armed Forces in Germany

The Belgian Forces in Germany Medal, known in Dutch as Belgische Strijdkrachten in Duitsland (BSD) and in French as Forces Belges en Allemagne (FBA), is a commemorative and association medal connected with the Belgian military presence in Germany following the Second World War.

For several decades, Belgian military units were stationed in Germany. During the Cold War, the Belgian Forces in Germany formed an important part of Belgium's contribution to the defence of Western Europe within the NATO framework.

This medal was established as a token of recognition for military personnel who completed the required period of service with a Belgian unit stationed in Germany. It serves as a lasting reminder of their service within the BSD/FBA and of Belgium's long-standing military presence in Germany.
