Civic Cross 2nd class

The Civic Cross, Second Class, is a Belgian honour awarded in recognition of meritorious civil service. The large model in silvered metal is crafted in accordance with the official specifications and preserves the traditional appearance of this grade.

The decoration consists of a Maltese cross in silvered metal with white enamelled arms. The central medallion bears the monogram “L” (Leopold II) in silvered relief on a white background, while laurel leaves in silvered metal are placed between the arms of the cross. The whole piece is suspended from a silvered ornamental connector linking the cross to the ribbon. The decoration is attached to a moiré ribbon in red with black stripes, the traditional colours of the Belgian Civic Decorations.
