Within Freemasonry, symbols, insignia and ceremonial objects hold a special place. A square, jewel of office, medal or other Masonic article is not merely decorative, but forms part of a lodge’s own tradition and identity. A lodge is also referred to as a workshop or atelier.
P. De Greef manufactures and supplies an extensive range of lodge articles and Masonic insignia, based on traditional models or produced entirely to order.
An important advantage is that P. De Greef has access to existing moulds from Fibru Europ and Atelier Luna, two former Brussels-based houses.
Fibru Europ manufactured a wide range of medals, badges, insignia and other metal articles, including various products for lodges. Atelier Luna specialised particularly in lodge articles and Masonic supplies.
Thanks to the available moulds, we can still supply various models today that were formerly manufactured by these Brussels companies.
Historical Models Remain Available
When a supplier ceases its activities, it is often difficult to reorder existing models. For a lodge, this can be a problem when a new jewel of office, an additional medal or a replacement piece needs to match articles that have been used for many years.
Thanks to the existing moulds from Fibru Europ and Atelier Luna, we can ensure continuity for many of these models.
Did your lodge previously order articles from Fibru Europ or Atelier Luna? We can then check whether the model in question can still be manufactured using the original mould.
This may include:
- squares and jewels of office;
- triangular office insignia;
- medals and badges;
- Masonic symbols and emblems;
- jewels for officers and dignitaries;
- various ceremonial metal articles;
- gold-plated and silver-plated finishes.
Not Only for Former Customers
The available models from Fibru Europ and Atelier Luna are, of course, not intended exclusively for lodges that previously ordered from these companies.
Other lodges, workshops and Masonic ateliers can also contact P. De Greef today.
A lodge can choose an existing traditional model from our collection, but can equally opt for an adapted version or a completely new design. This allows both long-established and newly founded workshops to create an assortment that reflects their own traditions, rites, offices and symbolism.
Looking for an Existing Model?
Not every lodge still has old catalogues, reference numbers or order details. This does not have to be an obstacle.
A photograph, an existing item or a clear description is often sufficient to identify a model. If the article was formerly manufactured by Fibru Europ or Atelier Luna, we can check whether the corresponding mould is still available.
In this way, existing models can be reproduced and visual continuity within a lodge can be preserved.
Traditional Craftsmanship and Contemporary Production
P. De Greef has extensive experience in manufacturing medals, decorations, badges and other high-quality metal articles. This expertise closely matches the specific requirements of Masonic jewels and lodge articles.
Depending on the design, various techniques and finishes are possible, including relief work, enamel, engraving, gilding and silver plating.
The historical moulds from Fibru Europ and Atelier Luna are a valuable addition to our own collection and production capabilities. They enable us to continue supplying familiar models while also creating new designs and bespoke articles.
New Designs and Bespoke Articles
In addition to existing models, we also develop completely new lodge articles.
A workshop’s own emblem, an anniversary, a special event or a specific office can provide the basis for a unique design. Starting from a drawing, digital file, photograph, old example or simple idea, we can develop a new article together with the customer.
If necessary, a new production mould can be made for this purpose.
In this way, we combine traditional Masonic design with contemporary production techniques and bespoke craftsmanship.
